Yellow Fever is a serious viral infection spread by mosquitoes in parts of Africa and South America. We're a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre and issue the official certificate.
Recommended for travel to risk areas of sub-Saharan Africa and tropical South America. Some countries legally require a certificate to enter. Have it at least 10 days before you travel.
A single dose gives lifelong protection for most people. It must be given at a registered centre — which we are.
A booster isn't usually needed; one dose protects for life under current guidance, though a few specific situations may warrant a second dose.
A single injection. You'll receive an International Certificate of Vaccination (ICVP), valid from 10 days after the jab.
Lifelong for most people from a single dose.
Usually mild — headache, muscle aches or a low fever a few days later. Serious reactions are rare and we screen carefully first.
It may not be suitable if you're pregnant, immunocompromised, have a thymus disorder or are allergic to eggs — we assess this carefully at your appointment.
Yellow Fever can cause high fever, jaundice and bleeding, and is fatal in a significant proportion of severe cases. There's no specific cure, so vaccination is essential for risk areas.
