Signs and Symptoms
Symptoms typically manifest 5 to 15 days following a bite from an infected insect. At first, a flu-like sickness might arise, which could advance to brain inflammation prompting symptoms like fever, disorientation, seizures, headaches, neck stiffness and paralysis. Japanese Encephalitis can potentially be fatal resulting in lasting brain impairment and handicap.
